Guest Workshop: Painting on Pottery with Sara-Anne
Sara-Anne is a local artist that has found a way to embellish her pottery through hand painting. With years of experience in watercolor and photography, Sara-Anne has found a new way to enjoy painting. In this 2.5 hour class you will learn the techniques of using underglaze and stroke and coat to hand paint your work. With this, you will be able to add more details and color to your pottery pieces.
You will learn brush strokes and what different brushes can offer
the different underglazes (watercolor, crayon, pencil and paint)
Stroke and coat
What glaze you can use when hand painting for the other parts of your piece
We will complete one project during this class!

One Day workshops include clay used, firing, and glazing. All who attend will create at least 2 pieces. Pieces will be fired and glazed by studio staff.
Coffee Conversations: wedging, reclaiming, and dying clay
bring a mug and join us to learn about how to re-use, re-invent, and recycle older clay.
