About Open Studio Membership

 

What is open studio membership?

Open studio is time to use the facilities for those with prior pottery experience, it is open time to work in the studio. This is unsupervised and non instructional time. Membership runs from the first of the month-the last day of the month.

When can you use the studio?

Open studio allows access to the studio any time outside of class hours. Classes are held in 6 week sessions separated by a one week break. During this break open studio members may use the studio during class hours. Special workshops or classes may be outside this time.

Class hours are currently:

Sunday 1:00-3:00 pm, 5:00-8:00pm

Monday 6:00-9:00pm

Tuesday 6:00-9:00pm

Thursday noon-3:00 pm; 6:00-9:00pm

Saturday noon-3:00 pm

What Open Studio includes:

-Use of heated and cooled facility

-One shelf or cubbies space.

-Pottery wheels (8) including 1 standing wheel.

-Slab roller

-Extruder

-Sinks with warm water

-Textures, molds and community tools

-reclaimed clay, when available.

- An amazing, supportive community

Not Included:

- Firing cost; based on space you use in the kiln.

-Clay: can be purchased separately and includes the cost of using studio underglaze and glaze.

-Use of outside clay or glaze: must personally be approved by Briggette Slivinski, each time a new clay or glaze is purchased and used in the studio kilns.
